The current Texas Department of Criminal Justice allows attorneys more communication than ever before. This communication is essential to good parole representation. Information and Records are important to parole arguments, but the Parole Voter will always have plenty of detailed records summarized in the parole file. But the volume of the Texas Prison System makes client communication challenging for voters and IPO's on the unit.
Parole Review is about the client. Every parole guideline whether static or dynamic is about the client. The client is the center of every review. Families, victims, and employers can give information, but the decision is about paroling or denying the client. These facts make client communication central to any good parole representation.

The Law Office of Paul A. Hampel uses ALL of these tools to maximize communication and build the best possible parole arguments. If families want to attend parole presentations with Paul Hampel they can request to my office and then my office will ask if the lead voter is willing to do the parole presentation in person. The decision is at the lead voter's discretion, but many are granted throughout the State of Texas.
I believe the best parole arguments come from understanding the client and applying their strengths and weaknesses to the parole guidelines and directives. This client communication is essential to this processes. Substituting or limiting this communication is almost certain to reduce the quality of any parole representation.
