Indigent Options
Whether people call themselves parole paralegals, parole specialists, parole consultants or parole experts, it’s all nonsense. Only attorneys, victims and families can speak to the parole board about a case (Texas Government Code 508.083). At this point, files are electronic and summarized by the IPO before being sent to the parole board. Paying anyone to do a parole packet that is not likely to reach the voting parole member makes little sense. All of these groups are unregulated and few if any offer as good a solution as Jorge Antonio Renaud’s free solution. For years, people have complained to my office about Favor Legal, D & D Worldwide, The Parole Packet People, Parole Packet Express, Parole Zoom, Texas Parole Solutions, Parole Express and so on. You have better Texas choices whether indigent or otherwise. You and your loved one in prison deserve better.
I believe in parole attorney representation. Attorneys speak on your behalf to the parole board. They follow the channels and regulations the legislature and parole board created. They can create high quality written arguments applying your case to the guidelines to make a difference.
